Dong Jiahong gave a keynote speech entitled "Precision Surgery Paradigm" at the Future Surgery Conference, systematically explaining the scientific connotation and definition of precision surgery, emphasizing accurate decision-making and accurate application of surgery-led systematic intervention methods for individuals or groups with specific diseases. Precision surgery should achieve an accurate balance of three core surgical elements: lesion removal, organ protection and damage control, and achieve multi-objective optimization with high efficiency, safety and minimally invasive, and maximize the health benefits of patients. Precision surgery is the best surgical practice to seek the optimal treatment outcome for patients under the support of modern science and technology. This new concept has opened a new era of modern surgery.
