Prof. Wang Zhao translates and publishes the first textbook of aging biology in China

Aging biology, is the first textbook in the world covering biological aging. As translated by Prof. Wang Zhao of Tsinghua SPS and published by the Science Press, it is now accessible in China. The book provides concise, systemic concepts on biological aging mechanisms and factors that influence an individual’s lifespan. Based on the basic approaches to aging biology, the book expounded the discovery of aging biology at the cellular, genetic and evolutionary level. In addition, it shares our understanding of why we age and how we grow old through the relationship between senility, disease and lifespan. It also discusses efforts that can be taken to intervene with the rate of aging, reduce disease, prolong life and improve our quality of life.
