Dong Jiahong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, doctor of medicine, distinguished professor at Tsinghua University, dean of the Tsinghua University School of Clinical Medicine, president of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, chief expert of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Center at Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, president of the Precision Medicine Institute at Tsinghua University, president of the Smart Healthcare Institute at Tsinghua University, president of the Institute of Organ Transplantation and Bionic Medicine at Tsinghua University, vice president of the Chinese Medical Association.

Dong Jiahong is an internationally acclaimed expert in hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation. He pioneered the concept of "precision surgery" on a global scale, establishing the paradigm of precision hepatobiliary surgery. This innovative approach has been widely adopted across diverse clinical specialties, including neurosurgery, pancreatic surgery, spinal surgery, plastic surgery, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and interventional therapy. It has played a pivotal role in advancing contemporary surgical concepts and paradigms.

As the first author or corresponding author, Dong has published over 170 SCI papers and led the formulation of IEEE international standards and 15 industry guidelines. He has also edited and published 6 monographs. Additionally, he has overseen more than 30 projects including those funded by the National Key Research and Development Program of China and major projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His contributions have been recognized with one second-class National Science and Technology Progress Award as the primary investigator, as well as three first-class awards from provincial and ministerial levels. Furthermore, he was awarded one first-class National Science and Technology Progress Award as a collaborator. In recognition of his pioneering contributions to contemporary surgical development, he has been elected as a foreign member or honorary fellow by the French Academy of Surgery, the American Surgical Association, and the European Society for Surgery.

Dong Jiahong founded and practiced the "three precision medical" concept of precision medicine, lean management, and sincere service, establishing a modern hospital management system with distinctive features at Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital.
