Dr. Zhao WANG is currently Senior Professor in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Tsinghua University. He obtained his B.S. in Clinical Medicine with honors from Henan College of Chinese Medicine in 1982, and a Master Degree in Basic Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1987. Then he went to Japan and obtained his Master Degree in Biopharmaceuticals from National Okayama University (Japan) in 1993, and his Phar.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same University in 1996. Wang was Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at National Okayama University School of Medicine from 1996 to 1998, and then he come back to China and employed as an associate professor in Department of Biological Sciences, Tsinghua University (Beijing). In 2003 he promoted to fulltime professor and moved to School of Medicine Tsinghua University. He joined the new established School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Tsinghua University as a senior professor in 2015. Dr. WANG has worked on studying of aging and aging related diseases as well as their biological mechanisms, with a focus on neuropharmacology and metabolic pharmacology, especially the pharmacology related with brain aging, bone aging and degenerative diseases such as AD and osteoporosis. Dr. WANG has published over 100 research articles, reviews and book chapters, and made many academic presentations in related conferences. WANG is a cofounder of several biotech companies.
