"Tsinghua-Johns Hopkins" Dual Master's Program

Program Introduction:

The Department of Electronic Engineering and School of Biomedical Engineering of Tsinghua University and the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Johns Hopkins University in the United States have jointly established a dual master's degree program. The project lasts for two to three years. In the first year, students will focus on course study at Johns Hopkins University, and from the second year onwards, students will focus on scientific research practice at Tsinghua University for thesis work. If students successfully complete their studies and meet the graduation requirements of relevant departments of both schools, students can obtain master's degrees from Tsinghua University and Johns Hopkins University.

Students can earn an international master’s education from the world’s top-ranked engineering programs in two years by enrolling in the Tsinghua JHU-BME Dual Degree MS Program.

Students participating in this dual master's program will study biomedical engineering at JHU in the first year, focusing on course study. From the second year onwards, students return to Tsinghua to choose an advisor from the Department of Electronic Engineering or the School of Biomedical Engineering for scientific research training. According to the administrative department of the thesis supervisor selected by the student, they will enter the Department of Electronic Engineering or the School of Biomedical Engineering to conduct their master's thesis. Work.

The Johns Hopkins University (JHU) is the first research university in the United States. Its success triggered the transformation of other universities in the United States into research universities. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has ranked the school as the university with the highest research expenditure in the United States for 31 consecutive years. The school is world-famous for its disciplines such as medicine, public health, space science, international relations, history, literature and music.
