March, 2010 – The first batch of the Beijing Tsinghua Hospital’s core management has completed the first stage of training with the Taiwan Chang Gung Hospital system, and the Chang Gung management model is helping to carry forward preparations for construction.
To meet the planned 2013 start date of operations, the Beijing Tsinghua Hospital has drawn up a staged human resources plan for initiating the recruitment and training of each personnel level in an orderly fashion. So far, the first batches of management, nursing, and medical technician positions have already been filled step-by-step and undergone training with the Taiwan Chang Gung care system.
The recruitment and training of physicians has also begun simultaneously. In April, the Beijing Tsinghua Hospital held a press conference to initiate the global recruitment of physicians and received a warm response domestically and internationally. As of March 2011, nearly 1000 people domestic and foreign had applied for physician positions; the selection process is underway. In September 2010, 12 medical students from Peking Union, Peking University, and other well-known domestic medical schools formally began work as the inaugural intern class of the Beijing Tsinghua Hospital. They would complete the intern stage of their training at a large Beijing tertiary care center and at several domestic and foreign training sites of the Taiwan Chang Gung system.
At the same time, the Beijing Tsinghua Hospital’s recruitment activities at numerous large medical schools have already received widespread notice, with a batch of excellent graduate students from medical, nursing, pharmacy, technical, imaging, public health, and other disciplines participating and beginning training as the Hospital’s reserve talent.
