(By Dongye Han )Recently, the National Health Commission released the "Circular on the 2018 National Monitoring and Analysis of the Performance Appraisal of Tertiary Public Hospitals" (hereinafter referred to as the "Circular"). This year, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital affiliated to Tsinghua University, which is in its sixth year of operation, received an A+ rating for its third year operating data in the performance evaluation.
According to the “Opinions on Strengthening the Performance Appraisal of Third Level Public Hospitals”, the National Health Commission and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in conjunction with relevant departments, have conducted testing and analysis of 2,398 third level public hospitals (1,289 of which are general hospitals) nationwide based on the data of the national testing indexes for the performance appraisal of third level public hospitals. The assessment index system consists of four aspects: medical quality, operational efficiency, continuous development, and satisfaction evaluation. The assessment results of tertiary general public hospitals are divided into 9 grades: A++, A+, A+, B++, among which the first 1% interval is A++ (12 in total), the first 1%-10% interval is A+ (104 in total). Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital is rated A+, ranking among the top 100 tertiary general public hospitals in China.
Since its opening in 2014, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital has adhered to the tenet of "patient-centered medical service, physician-centered hospital operation, and staff-centered hospital development". The hospital has formed several integrated medical centers such as the hepatobiliary and pancreatic center, neurological center, gastroenterology center, emergency and intensive care center, and other key specialties such as cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, otolaryngology, ENT, urology, orthopedics, radiology, and anesthesiology. Also, The hospital has carried out more than 100 leading medical technologies at home and abroad, set a number of world records, and its comprehensive medical service ability has entered the front rank of Beijing. It has been ranked among the top hospitals in Beijing in terms of patient satisfaction, and a large number of complex critical patients from home and abroad were successfully treated with advanced technology and high-quality services.
